Blachowicz (29-9-1 MMA, 12-6 UFC) takes on Pereira (7-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in the UFC 291 co-main event on July 29 at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City. The former light heavyweight champion isn’t sure if this matchup was part of the UFC’s plans anyway, but says he asked to welcome Pereira to 205 pounds – and he got his wish. “When I heard that he would come to our division, I just want to fight against him,” Blachowicz said on The MMA Hour.
