The New Jersey native came into his fight with Danny Castillo on the first two-fight losing skid of his career. Miller (25-6 MMA, 14-5 UFC) had to gut out a tough fight against a tough opponent, but he managed to earn the split decision victory over Castillo (17-9 MMA, 7-6 UFC). For Miller, winning may not have been as important as feeling that he left everything he had in the cage. Miller dropped a unanimous decision to Beneil Dariush at UFC on FOX 15 in his previous bout. By the FightMetric stats , the Dariush loss was Miller’s least effective in the octagon.
