Joe Pyfer will look to notch his third octagon win when he takes on one of the hardest-hitting middleweights. Pyfer (11-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) meets Abdul Razak Alhassan (12-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC) at a UFC Fight Night event on Oct. 7 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie after Pyfer initially shared it on Instagram . Since punching his ticket through the Contender Series in July 2022, Pyfer has scored back-to-back first-round TKO stoppages of Alen Amedovski, and most recently Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 287 in April .
