Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe played host to UFC Fight Night 53, an event that saw three upsets occur over the span of four main-card bouts. He may not have been the biggest betting underdog of the bunch, but perhaps the most surprising of all the upsets came in the main event when Rick Story  (18-8 MMA, 11-6 UFC) outworked Gunnar Nelson (13-1-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) over five rounds for a split-decision victory. Max Holloway  (11-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) was the only favorite who took care of business when he picked up a first-round knockout for his fourth consecutive UFC victory. Prior to Holloway’s performance, Jan Blachowicz  (18-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Mike Wilkinson  (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) also scored first-round finishes.
