After one of the most thrilling five-round fights in UFC history, Lawler (27-10 MMA, 12-4 UFC) held on to the belt at the expense of Condit’s (30-9 MMA, 7-5 UFC) dreams of glory. It was a very close fight and one that could be seen again in the near future. Prior to the show-stealing main event, several other fighters registered meaningful main card wins.
