Erick Silva The UFC’s annual International Fight Week came to an end on Sunday with The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. It was a solid event headlined by a matchup between welterweights Stephen Thompson (11-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC ) and Jake Ellenberger (30-10 8-6 UFC). “Wonderboy” emerged victorious with the help of a spinning-hook-kick knockout of Ellenberger in the first round. Prior to that, a new winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” was crowned when Kamaru Usman (6-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) won the welterweight tournament for the Blackzilians over American Top Team. Rounding out the card were victories for Michael Graves (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC), Jorge Masvidal (29-9 MMA, 6-2 UFC), Michelle Waterson (13-4 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Maximo Blanco (12-6-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC).
