However, he ultimately emerged with the split-decision win to defend his title at the end of a the five-fight pay-per-view main card. Prior to Cormier’s successful title defense, four fighters earned unanimous-decision victories as Ryan Bader (20-4 MMA, 13-4 UFC), Ruslan Magomedov (14-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC), Joseph Benavidez (23-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) and Julianna Pena (7-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) topped their respective opponents.
