Frankie Edgar UFC Fight Night 74’s main card featured a mix of big knockouts, drawn-out decisions and an unfortunate injury-riddled main event. Featherweights Max Holloway (14-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) and Charles Oliveira (20-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) collided in the first headliner of their UFC careers, but it didn’t pan out as many had hoped. The bout came to a sudden ending early in the first round when Oliveira went down with an injury less than two minutes in, which forced referee Herb Dean to stop the fight and award the victory to “Blessed.” Luckily the rest of the fights ended in a clean manner as Neil Magny (16-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC), Patrick Cote (22-9 MMA, 8-9 UFC), Francisco Trinaldo (18-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC), Olivier Aubin-Mercier (7-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and Valerie Letourneau (8-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC) added another notch to their win columns. After every event, fans wonder whom the winners will be matched up with next.
