Jon Jones ’ announcement of vacating the UFC light heavyweight title in order to pursue heavyweight gold finally has drawn a line under one of the most dominant reigns, in any weight class, by a fighter in the modern era. Since Jones became the youngest champion in UFC history in March 2011 when he defeated Mauricio Rua at the tender age of just 23 years and 242 days, he has gone on to set the bar for greatness in the UFC. While issues outside the cage have, at times, placed roadblocks in the way of his successes, Jones still has managed to build a resume that might never be matched in the UFC’s 205-pound division. During his two reigns as UFC light heavyweight champion, Jones racked up an incredible 11 title defenses, five of which came against fighters who also held the title. Even though Jones had two separate title reigns at 205 pounds, he departs the division having never lost the belt inside the octagon. So, as we await the next chapter, let’s look back at the best of “Bones,” ranking his 11 UFC title defenses from worst to best
