That meeting didn’t settle the beef between the two that spilled over into a pre-fight press conference brawl before their prior meeting. Jones (21-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) hasn’t fought since that bout, as the UFC stripped the longtime light heavyweight champion of his title following his involvement in an April hit-and-run incident . Cormier (17-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) won the vacant title in Jones’ absence with a third-round submission of Anthony Jonson at UFC 187. He followed that win up with a split-decision victory in a title defense against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192
