Jon Jones has built a reputation for tweeting and deleting. Friday night, Jones (26-1 MMA, 20-1 UFC) was back at it. Electing to tell the world how he really feels, the UFC light heavyweight champion responded to recent comments by former title challenger Anthony Smith . “Anthony If you’re going to leave your garage door open all night, hurry up and (buy) the family a gun, some mace or something,” Jones wrote. “A douche bag more like me could’ve completely had his way with you all night, that could’ve been bad for everyone.” Minutes after the tweet, Jones told Twitter “Get your screenshots, here comes the delete,” followed by “This is my favorite part.” All of this is in reference to a recent home invasion incident at Smith’s house in Omaha, Neb. On April 5, Smith (33-14 MMA, 9-5 UFC) subdued a trespasser who entered his home in the middle of the night.
