Lightweight contenders Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier headline this weekend’s UFC 291 fight card with the “BMF” belt on the line. The BMF (Baddest Motherf**cker) belt originated to promotion a fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz at UFC 244 in November 2019. Masvidal won the symbolic belt by doctor stoppage. This weekend, the belt will be on the line a second time and for Gaethje it’s about legacy. “It’s complete separate from the actual championship. It’s really iconic,” Gaethje told TMZ Sports .
