There is little in life that will change a person more than death. Facing death, especially the death of someone that you care deeply about, can certainly be a turning point, and it definitely was for UFC veteran and current Bellator fighter Justin Wren . Wren spent a year in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he became family with the Mbuti pygmy tribe. That was where Wren buried a little boy that was part of that family because the doctors in the region said he wasn’t worthy of saving. He wasn’t worthy of “wasting” medicine and resources because he was a “pygmy animal.” You can imagine how that affected Wren, who makes his return to mixed martial arts at Bellator 141 on Friday night after five years out of active competition.
