Kanako Murata provided an update after injuring her arm at UFC on ESPN 25. Murata (12-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) suffered a dislocated left elbow against Virna Jandiroba this past Saturday and showed incredible resolve by trying to fight it out until doctors decided to stop the contest at the end of Round 2. Jandiroba secured a deep armbar in Round 1, and Murata injured her arm when trying to pull out of the submission. The 27-year-old former Invicta FC and Rizin fighter took to Instagram Sunday night to post an image of her X-ray, thanking the UFC for taking care of her injury. “Thank you for your generous support @ufc I will be stronger and come back.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kanako Murata (@m_r_t_k_n_k) The TKO loss snapped Murata’s eight-fight winning streak. The former Invicta FC strawweight champion had previously picked up a unanimous decision win over “Ultimate Fighter” veteran Randa Markos in her UFC debut.
