At UFC Fight Night 75, almost nine years later, he finally picked up a win in the octagon. Nakamura (31-6-2 MMA, 1-3 UFC) choked out Li Jingliang (10-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) with a third-round standing rear-naked choke in their bout, which took place on the preliminary card of the UFC Fight Night 75 event at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. It aired on FOX Sports 2 ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1. The bout had not been going Nakamura’s way early, but he was able to take advantage of the late opening to score the win
