The preliminary-card bout aired on FOX Sports 1 from Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. Noke’s (22-7-1 MMA, 6-3 UFC) near-perfect kick to the body of Sobotta (15-5-1 MMA, 2-4 UFC) elicited a shout of agony from the German before follow-up shots on the ground brought the bout to a halt.
