Legacy FC 46 poster Steven Peterson and Irwin Rivera battled it out in the Legacy FC 46 bantamweight main event, bloodying each other early and continuing to bang away on the feet for much of the bout. In the end, Peterson was a bit too much for his game opponent. The shorter Rivera (4-0) attempted to pick his spots to explode in and crack Peterson (12-4) with looping punches, one of which got the blood flowing from a cut. Peterson had no intention of backing off and put Rivera on his back and used elbows to return the favor, leaving both men with cuts by the end of Round 1.
