Steven Peterson Steven Peterson (14-4) claimed his sixth consecutive victory, and in it came in dramatic fashion and saw him earn Legacy FC’s bantamweight title by choking out former champ Manny Vazquez (9-2). The contest served as the main event of Friday’s Legacy FC 56 event, which took place at The Bomb Factory in Dallas and aired on AXS TV. Peterson was aggressive to start, firing heavy shots as he walked forward. Vazquez eventually brought the fight to the floor with a trip and then shucked off a guillotine attempt and settled in top position. Peterson went back to the choke but again couldn’t finish, though he found some offensive success again when the fight went back to the feet
