A lightweight matchup between Canadian knockout artist John Makdessi (12-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and undefeated Brazilian prospect Alan Patrick (11-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will take place at UFC 169. UFC officials today announced the new matchup for the event, which takes place on Feb. 1 at Prudential Center at Newark, N.J. The evening’s main card airs on pay-per-view while prelims are expected to air on FOX Sports 1. An official bout order for UFC 169 has yet to be revealed
