Mairbek Taisumov With a pair of back-to-back knockout wins under his belt, Chechnyan lightweight Mairbek Taisumov  (23-5 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has a new five-fight deal in place. The 26-year-old prospect today took to Twitter to announce he finalized a new deal with the sport’s largest promotion. So happy to sign a new contract for 5 more fights in the #UFC Big tnx to my big bro Roger Huerta & all TeamBanterbros pic.twitter.com/z0cv5H1WTn — Mairbek Taisumov (@MairbekTaisumov) February 8, 2015 “Beckan” currently trains in Thailand with UFC veteran Roger Huerta at Tiger Muay Thai. Fighting professionally since 2007, Taisumov first gained notoriety fighting under the M-1 Global banner. However, he came to the UFC in 2014, picking up a decision win over Tae Hyun Bang in Singapore at UFC Fight Night 34.
