Gegard Mousasi Lawyers representing UFC middleweight Gegard Mousasi claim UFC lightweight John Makdessi and the apparel company Fear the Fighter owe him $25,800, according to a copy of the lawsuit obtained by MMAjunkie. Mousasi seeks to recover that money as well as $15,100 – plus interest – for lost sponsorship opportunities and “moral damages,” according to the suit, filed Jan. 23 in Quebec (Canada) civil court in Laval district. MMAjunkie first reported the pending litigation after Mousasi’s camp came forward to claim Makdessi and Fear the Fighter had stiffed the veteran middleweight out of sponsor payments. The suit claims Makdessi and Fear the Fighter came up short in connection with three bouts – UFC Fight Night 36, UFC Fight Night 41 and UFC Fight Night 50, which all took place in 2014
