Masakatsu Ueda won his first three fights for ONE FC, but the Japanese veteran came up short in a title match with Bibiano Fernandes last May and has subsequently been given permission to fight for other promotions. First up for Ueda (18-3-2) is a bantamweight battle with Victor Henry (8-1) at Grandslam 2: Way of the Cage, which will be the Japanese promotion’s second card and is set for Feb. 8 at the Differ Ariake Arena in Tokyo. Henry tasted victory at Grandslam’s inaugural event last year when he defeated Hideo Tokoro by second-round TKO.
