Filed under: Bellator , Featured Videos , News , Videos ST. LOUIS – Matt Mitrione picked an interesting way to introduce himself to a new fighting audience. Early in the first round of his Bellator deubt against Carl Seumanutafa (10-7 MMA, 1-1 BMMA), Mitrione (10-5 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) got his bell rung – perhaps as hard as anyone has rung his bell before. Seumanutafa dropped him, and the 14-fight UFC veteran may have referee John McCarthy to thank for making a split-second call to not stop the fight, though he appeared close to doing just that. But Mitrione survived, regained enough composure to fight off Seumanutafa’s top position, and got on top himself so he could land a bomb to end the fight not long after nearly being finished himself.
