Max Holloway Max Holloway , the No. 4 ranked fighter in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA featherweight rankings , will be forced to sit back and relax for two months following surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb. FOX Sports reported the injury on Wednesday, stating that Holloway’s manager confirmed the surgery, which took place the same day. Holloway (15-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) has been on a tear over the past two years.
