LOS ANGELES – New welterweight Michael Chiesa arrived to media day for UFC 232 wearing a plaid jacket and a big smile. Despite all the controversy looming over Saturday’s pay-per-view event, Chiesa felt good, unlike the last time he stepped in front of cameras for a lightweight fight with Anthony Pettis. About this time last year, Chiesa (14-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) could hardly fight his way out of bed, much less fight at his best.
