Daukaus (12-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) had his unbeaten octagon start come to a brutal end Saturday when he was knocked out in the first round by Derrick Lewis (26-8 MMA, 17-6 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 199 headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Although getting a headlining spot was a reflection of Daukaus’ solid work inside the octagon, Lewis showed him there’s still plenty of room for growth. How does Daukaus proceed from here?
