Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate isn’t sure if she’ll ever fight again. Tate suffered a unanimous decision loss to Yana Santos UFC on ESPN 67 in Des Moines, Iowa on May 3rd. It was her return fight after a 17-month layoff and what she described as ‘the worst injury in her career.’ The 38-year-old revealed that she suffered an injury in her submission win over Julia Avila in her previous fight which led to a long recovery and an extended layoff from fighting. “I had my hooks in on her back, one of which was a bit shallow, and I really went to be very aggressive and try to force her from back to belly, belly down, and I ripped two if my ligaments, and I had to have reconstructive surgery,” Tate said on Instagram
