A battle between two of the most exciting lightweight prospects is on tap for UFC London. Mike Davis (9-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) faces Jai Herbert (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) at the “Fight Night” event at O2 Arena on March 19, promotion officials recently announced. Davis hasn’t competed since a Fight of the Night win over Mason Jones at UFC on ESPN 20 in January 2021. The hard-hitting 29-year-old sustained injuries to both hands in the fight, which forced him to the sidelines. With seven of his pro wins by knockout, Davis’ victory over Jones marked the first time he went the distance to get his hand raised. After tough setbacks to Francisco Trinaldo and Renato Moicano, former Cage Warriors champion Herbert entered the UFC win column when he scored a first-round TKO of Khama Worthy thispast October.
