MONCTON, Canada – Five months ago, UFC light heavyweight Misha Cirkunov packed up his car and drove south to Las Vegas. Cirkunov, 31, was looking to reinvent himself after back-to-back losses in the octagon, which sapped the momentum built by a 4-0 run in his initial UFC push. An emigrant to Toronto, the Latvian-born fighter considered moving to Florida and California. But in Sin City, there was not only world-class gyms, but the UFC’s Performance Institute.
