Longtime MMA promoter and manager Monte Cox was today sentenced to three months’ prison time and one year of probation on a single federal charge of filing a false tax return. A clerk for the U.S. District Court in Davenport, Iowa, confirmed the sentence to MMAjunkie. Cox is also be required to pay a special assessment of $100. He will self-report to prison – likely a minimum-security facility – at a to-be-determined date
