Now back at light heavyweight after an ill-fated UFC stint as a middleweight, Brazil’s Ronny Markes  feels ready to mount a comeback. “In the UFC, I think I was only able to demonstrate 40 percent of the potential I show in training,” he told MMAjunkie. “In the UFC, I hesitated too much.” Markes, 26, returns to the spotlight tonight under a new promotional banner when he meets Cully Butterfield (13-3) at WSOF 12, which takes place at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The bout co-headlines the NBC Sports Network-televised main card following prelims on MMAjunkie. To hear Markes tell it, there were other factors that contributed to his exit from the industry-leader.
