Although the UFC and FOX Sports have severed ties with the fighter/broadcaster, Chael Sonnen will remain a part of the Aug. 9 Metamoris 4 grappling event. That’s the word from the grappling league’s official Twitter account. As MMAjunkie first reported Monday, the fighter’s longtime home, the UFC, and its broadcasting partner, FOX, parted ways with Sonnen following a pair of failed drug tests that were administered prior to a scheduled UFC 175 bout with Vitor Belfort (who was a replacement for Wanderlei Silva, who skipped a random drug test of his own).
