Because for a certain denizen of the Garden State who so happens to earn a buck in an eminently hazardous industry, even that scarcely fathomable figure could not sufficiently compel him to coast blissfully into retirement. That man is Frankie Edgar (21-5-1 MMA, 15-5-1 UFC). The former UFC lightweight champion and current featherweight contender has been fighting professionally since 2005 and, on this day 10 years ago, he first entered the octagon.
