ONE: Age of Champions is the promotion’s first event of the year and flyweight champion Adriano Moraes and challenger Asuka Mikami both came in bang on the 125-pound limit ahead of their title match in Kuala Lumpur Friday night (local time). Moraes (12-1) will be making the first defense of the belt he won by beating Geje Eustaquio last September when he takes on Japanese challenger Mikami (11-2-1-1), who has not tasted defeat since 2009. The final two fights of the night at Stadium Putra will take place after that title match and be broadcast live on TV in Malaysia, meaning that there is likely to be an intermission if Moraes and Mikami don’t go the distance. The final fight of the night sees local favorite Peter Davis (9-3) looking for a seventh ONE Championship win when he takes on former Super Fight League 155-pound champion Rajinder Singh Meena . The Malaysian tipped the scales at 154.5 pounds, while the Indian was 154 pounds. The penultimate bout features another Malaysian fighter with media darling Ann Osman (2-1) set to take on Walaa Abbas (2-2)
