Askren (14-0) dedicated most of his life to wrestling and, after a pair of NCAA Division I national titles, he made the 2008 Olympic team before falling short of medaling at the games. He transitioned to MMA in 2009, rattling off wins and picking up titles in a career that’s already impressive enough to see him ranked No. 5 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA welterweight rankings despite not currently competing in a major U.S. promotion.
