After Michael Chandler knocked out Patricky Freire to retain Bellator’s vacant lightweight belt , a second, unofficial fight erupted. Patricky’s brother, former featherweight champ Patricio Freire (25-3 MMA, 13-3 BMMA), was immediately seen exchanging his own set of heated words with Chandler (15-3 MMA, 12-3 BMMA), setting the mood for a possible match against his brother’s executioner. When the champ told MMAjunkie  he wouldn’t mind taking on the second sibling, Bellator had already scheduled a different 155-pound opponent for Freire – now set to face former UFC champ Benson Henderson (23-6 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) on Friday. In this complicated scenario, Freire has a few priorities first. But, still, Chandler might just be one matchup away. “Bellator announced that with a win over Benson Henderson, I’d next face Chandler for the lightweight belt,” Freire told MMAjunkie
