MELBOURNE, Australia – The UFC’s de facto No. 1 middleweight contender is willing to fight whoever holds the belt after UFC 243, but one matchup would prove especially sweet. “I really want to break the face of Adesanya,” Paulo Costa told reporters, including MMA Junkie, at UFC 243 media day. “It’s personal with him. I cannot hide this.” UFC middleweight champ Robert Whittaker (20-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) meets interim titleholder Israel Adesanya (17-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) in the main event of UFC 243, which takes place Saturday (Sunday locally) at Marvel Stadium.
