MELBOURNE, Australia – Not many fans gave Valerie Letourneau a chance to upset Joanna Jedrzejczyk for the UFC strawweight championship at UFC 193. While Letourneau (8-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) handled herself well, she wasn’t able to overcome Jedrzejczyk’s overwhelming striking attack over five rounds, d ropping a unanimous decision to the champion . The bout served as the co-main event at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
