Especially when you get a good look at the X-ray he today posted. Straus (25-6 MMA, 11-3 BMMA) earned a unanimous-decision victory over Patricio Freire (24-3 MMA, 12-3 BMMA) and reclaimed the Brazilian’s featherweight title in this past Friday’s Bellator 145 headliner. The Spike-televised fight, which took place at St. Louis’ Scottrade Center, was a career highlight for Straus, who had suffered two previous losses to “Pitbull.” It’s also pretty impressive considering how badly the 31-year-old broke his left hand, according to the X-rays.
