Raphael Assuncao won’t be fighting at UFC on ESPN 8. On Friday, Daniel Rubenstein of Ruby Sports & Entertainment, who manages Assuncao (27-7 MMA, 11-4 UFC), announced that his client will wait for originally scheduled opponent Cody Garbrandt to heal up. This comes after news broke that former UFC bantamweight champion Garbrandt was forced to withdraw from a scheduled clash against Assuncao due to kidney issues. After the news came to light, Garbrandt (11-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) posted a gruesome image of bloody urine on social media
