In the headliner of the event, which aired on AXS TV from The Hangar at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., lightweight champion Thiago Moises (8-1) finally wore down challenger Jamall Emmers (9-3) and scored a fifth-round TKO stoppage . Moises has now posted three straight stoppage wins, and he’s likely earned himself a spot on the UFC’s radar. However, one of the night’s top performances may have come from veteran official Dean. In a bantamweight bout, Albert Morales (6-0) picked up a quick 20-second win over Mario Israel (10-2) – and needed to be pried off his opponent.
