Following a disappointing two fight run in the UFC that saw him lose back-to-back fights for the only time in his career, lightweight prospect Ryan Couture rebounded this year with two straight wins. So far in 2014, Couture is pleased with how he’s been performing and is anticipating good things when he makes is Bellator debut on Friday night. “I’ve gotten off to a great start,” said Couture. “I got a submission win over in Battlegrounds MMA in January, and then followed that up with another one in May. “I’m looking forward to getting back on a big show, in a televised fight and try to continue my momentum from my first two fights this year.” For Couture, making the step back up into a national promotion is important for his continued quest to establish his own identity as a fighter. “It’s huge,” Couture told MMAWeekly.com.
