Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos BERLIN – Scott Askham impressed at UFC Fight Night 69, picking up his first victory in the octagon with a first round TKO of Antonio dos Santos Jr. It was anything but an easy fight as Askham (13-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) had to endure the aggression and powerful strikes of dos Santos from the opening bell. Askham was able to land a beautiful counter uppercut that dropped dos Santos during one flurry and it was only a matter of time until a follow up knee to the chin put his foe down again and punches to follow forced the stoppage. Askham said after the fight that he knew that the uppercut would be there. “I went for a high kick and I slipped a little,” Askham told MMAjunkie after his middleweight win at O2 World Berlin in Germany.
