Angela Hill was unable to take the next leap forward in her career on Saturday when she came out on the wrong end of a close fight with Michelle Waterson in the UFC on ESPN+ 35 main event. Hill (12-9 MMA, 6-9 UFC) produced a strong effort in the strawweight headliner, but ultimately suffered a split decision loss to Waterson (18-8 MMA, 6-4 UFC) at UFC Apex in Las Vegas and now finds herself on a two-fight losing skid. Although there’s a good argument that Hill should’ve won this fight, as well as her previous one against Claudia Gadelha, the results show on paper a pair of losses.
