A heavyweight match between contenders Sergei Pavlovich and Curtis Blaydes headlined Saturday’s UFC Vegas 71 fight card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Pavlovich entered the bout ranked ranked third in the division while Blaydes was ranked fourth. Both men were looking to move a step closer to a title shot with a win. Blades used his jab to try and keep Pavlovich on the outside. Both men connected during an exchange in the middle of the cage.
