MEXICO CITY – Steven Peterson made a heat-of-the-moment decision that he wishes he didn’t. But the way he sees it, he also had to make sure his UFC on ESPN+ 17 win was secured. Peterson scored a highlight-reel finish of Martin Bravo on Saturday night after the two fighters threw nearly simultaneous spinning backfists in the second round of their featherweight fight. Unfortunately for Bravo, his missed while Peterson’s landed flush on the chin, instantly knocking Bravo out cold. Even though it was apparent that Bravo was unconscious as his body crashed backwards onto the canvas, Peterson followed up with a hammerfist to the face.
