Interim UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is keeping himself occupied as he waits for his fate to unfold with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and Nevada State Athletic Commission after he tested positive for banned substances prior to UFC 200. Jones (22-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC) was meant to headline July’s UFC 200 mega-event in a title unification showdown with rival Daniel Cormier (18-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC). The bout didn’t come to fruition, though, because just three days prior to the event it was announced Jones had been flagged with a potential USADA violation . In the months following UFC 200, Jones has largely stayed out of the spotlight.
