Jon Jones In first tweet since April, ex-UFC champ Jon Jones hinted that a return to the octagon could be imminent, and that he has something to prove. The former 205-pound titleholder is still serving an indefinite suspension from the UFC after he was involved in a hit-and-run incident for which he recently struck a plea agreement that prevented any jail time. Although Jones (21-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) has to serve up to 18 months of probation and make 72 youth outreach or charity appearances, there are no longer any legal issues that prevent him from competing. Despite that, the UFC has yet to formally lift Jones’ suspension, which was handed out in April at the same time “Bones” was stripped of the UFC title for his involvement in the incident. At one point, Jones’ manager claimed that it was possible that the 28-year-old would never fight again
