Formed by former amateur wrestler turned television producer Brian Halquist and partner George Chung, CageSport was born of an idea to feature up-and coming-talent after the duo had helped produce a Strikeforce event in Washington that at the time set box office records for the Tacoma Dome. After multiple years doing their own thing, CageSport partnered up with Indian MMA promotion Super Fight League in 2014 and have produced two SFL USA shows so far with great results. “We had been invited to join some other regional companies around the world for a company that a group was putting together,” Halquist told MMAWeekly.com. “There were two or three different companies that came at us, but things always seemed to fizzle. “It just so happened to be that George had worked with (SFL founder) Raj Kundra and we decided to see what we could do together. We’ve done a couple shows together and have gotten some really good, positive feedback from them.
