A light heavyweight fight is in the works for Dana White’s Contender Series, Season 4, Episode 6. Pending bout finalization, Team Lloyd Irvin standout Tafon Nchukwi will make his light heavyweight debut against Al Matavao on Sept. 8 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed the targeted booking to MMA Junkie on Wednesday and asked to remain anonymous, as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Nchukwi (3-0 MMA) is coming off a first-round TKO victory over UFC development deal fighter William Knight.
